To promote the UCR School of Business’ dedication to maintaining a diverse and international student body, a delegation of represenatives traveled overseas to host multiple recruitment events in China, in late March.

Steve Chen, the Director of International Relations, Tamra Johnson, the Associate Director of International Relations, and Mark Estrada, the Director of Graduate Admissions, traveled to five different cities to meet with some of the top undergraduate students in China who are interested in business programs at the School of Business.

Alumna Xin Qiao, who is the Executive Director of the
Treasurey Department at Fosun shares her UCR
experience with prospective students in Beijing.

Some of our most notable alumni attended the events to give presentations about their successful experience at UCR. Yaqi Wang, who works at the Shanghai Disney Resort, spoke at the Shanghai event about her experience at UCR.  Alumna Xin Qiao, who is the Executive Director of the Treasury Department at Fosun, spoke at the event hosted in Beijing.

The representatives traveled to Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. Over 400 students from top universities in those areas attended the recruitment events.

The success of the trip is due to the partnerships created by the School of Business that established a firm presence in China’s higher education market. UCR’s School of Business and top universities around the world collaborate to recruit the top students in their region.
