About the Behavioral Research Lab

elabRealizing the growing importance of experimental research in all areas of business including marketing, management, finance, and accounting, the School of Business established a Behavioral Decision Laboratory in 2009. The lab supports 32 state-of-the-art terminals connected in a network and monitors for conducting experiments. The participants in these experiments are all UCR students who volunteer to take part in experiments for payoff contingent on performance.

School of Business faculty and Ph.D. students have been conducting experiments on dynamic pricing, congestion in networks, sequential search, payment mechanisms in marketing, and so on. The lab is also used as a classroom in which students interact with one another electronically. It has been a major factor in establishing UCr School of Business as a center of research.
